On Friday, we also hosted special spiritual assemblies for all year groups to celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas. Led by Ms Kaur and supported by our dedicated sevadaars, these assemblies featured beautiful kirtan that resonated through the corridors, filling the school with a sense of peace and unity. It was a moment for both students and staff to pause, reflect, and connect.

A huge thank you to Ms Kaur and all the sevadaars for enriching our celebration with such a meaningful experience.

On Friday, our students also had the chance to hear from Sunny Gill, an EFL referee who shared his valuable insights on resilience and discipline. His stories and advice reminded our students that perseverance is key to overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.

To make the day even more special, Sunny took the time to sign autographs for our students throughout the day, and even signed one of his shirts for PSA!

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Jeevan Singh Chagger, Health Mentor and Chairman of Birmingham City Hockey Club, on Friday 1 November. He led workshops on mental and physical wellness, as well as presentation skills. His session emphasised the importance of self-care, resilience, and effective communication - skills that will benefit our students for years to come.

Friday was a truly memorable day for PSA students!

We came together as a school community to celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas - a day that symbolises freedom, and justice.

To mark this special occasion, we hosted spiritual assemblies for all year groups and welcomed some inspiring guests:

✨ Scout Leader Nirmal Singh and his team

✨ EFL Referee Sunny Gill

✨ Health Mentor and Chairman of Birmingham City Hockey Club, Dr. Jeevan Singh Chagger

Our fantastic canteen staff also provided langar during lunchtime for the entire school.

It was a day of learning, reflection, and celebration - a day where our students were encouraged to carry forward the values of courage, compassion, and resilience. Thank you to everyone who made this day possible and to our wonderful guests for sharing their time and wisdom with us. The impact on our students will last well beyond today - the huge smiles on their faces were a testament to this!
