Homework
Homework is an extremely important part of every student’s education. Cycles of assessment and feedback in homework tasks are a sign to parents of high expectations, giving them an insight into their child’s learning and progress over time.
Homework will focus on the core knowledge of what has been taught and be an opportunity for retrieval practice.
- Teachers will fully explain the purpose of homework when set
- It will be recorded and set on ClassCharts
- It can often be integrated into classroom activities, for example, a Do Now activity may be an extension of what students have read or carried out at home
- It may be an opportunity for extended independent practice on taught knowledge
Teachers will hold high expectations on the standard of homework completed
