Enrichment

At PSA we are committed to developing the leaders of tomorrow by creating as many opportunities as possible for students, based on what they’re passionate about. This tailored approach means that our enrichment programme constantly evolves depending on students’ requirements.

Our enrichment programme comprises of weekly clubs, “super learning days” and trips. Our club timetable will be published at the start of each term, and students can sign up for at the start of the year during the enrichment fair. The clubs will be run by teachers, but may sometimes be part of external programmes such as Duke of Edinburgh, CCF and Be Her Lead. We encourage all students to sign up to at least one club a term so that they can explore their talents and interests, and leave Pioneer Secondary Academy as well rounded versatile, well-balanced people.

A full enrichment timetable will be published on the website once it is available.

Super learning days are when students are taken off time table to participate in workshops. Examples of what was offered in the 2022 summer term are martial arts, spoken word poetry, workshops led by the Global Equality Collective and trips to watch the women’s Euros and the science museum.

You will be notified of trips and workshops for your child in advance.
