RE

Our Vision

We want pupils to be Religiously literate. To learn from RE and about RE. Be informed citizens and are able to communicate coherently and have a conscious understanding of the world’s cultures, practices, beliefs and values. The aim of Religious Education at PSA is to explore what individual people believe and what difference this makes to how they live.

Religious Education gives students an important framework for understanding past and present events, actions and beliefs and their impact within the context of people’s lives. We want to promote an understanding of religions as dynamic, internally diverse and evolving over time. To provide students with the opportunity to make their own beliefs rather than be influenced by the sensationalised media. For students to have an understanding of non- religious views.

RE as a subject makes a unique contribution to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils and supports wider community cohesion.
